How to Fold a Shirt in Under 2 Seconds - YouTube
伊東家の食卓

I just did this. Legit.

the fuck

Clearly this is black magic at work here

been folding my shirts like this for so long that it feels weird to do it any other way

WHAT THE SHIT

I just did this for my mom and she screamed.

I just did this and I stood there and stared in astonishment for a full 15 seconds. It took me longer to get over folding the shirt than it took to fold the shirt in the first place.

T'CRY'LA: BROADWAY SHOWS

callmehaley:

Because my last masterpost got deleted, I’m remaking it since I know a lot of people had it liked and it will no longer show up for them. These are Broadway shows (and related things) that can be found fully on YouTube and other sources. Continue checking back to this post as I…

Hey guys! This is a “reblog this and I’ll draw a quick creature based on your tumblr” promo!

castylist:

I need a good warm-up and a lot of folk reblog stuff like this on my dash, so why not give ‘er a go?

  • I’ll read your description, about me, and a few pages of your blog before deciding on a color scheme and a creature based on the feelings I get from your tumblr!
  • I’ll make a post with your creature and URL and tag you in it!

Secrets for the Lost: Know what I think would be cool?A strong, intelligent, empowered...

Know what I think would be cool?

A strong, intelligent, empowered FEMALE 12th Doctor. We already know that time lords can regenerate into a different gender, and one would think that out of 13 possible bodies, at least one might be a different gender.

Along with this, I want a clever and brave…

I think this is a fine idea, but I have to posit a small additional notion.

Now, when you and I imagine the definition of the word ‘empowered’, it is a different definition from the one Stephen Moffat imagines. We imagine ‘strong, independent, self-motivated, et cetera’. Stephen Moffat imagines ‘sexy’. Look at every single female character he’s ever written. There’s nothing particularly wrong with any of them independently, it’s when you realise that that is the only sort of strong woman he knows how to write is when it becomes a problem.

I already have a huge problem with the sexualisation of the Doctor (it was bad enough when RTD was just tossing banal romances everywhere, but now Moffat has flirtysexyDoctor and I do not approve. This show was a safe space once. It isn’t anymore). As much as I would adore seeing a badass Time Lady strolling about again (Helen Mirren, anyone?) what I could not stand would be the Doctor going the way of so many applications of Rule 63. This could, of course, happen if the Doctor were to remain a chap. However, under the continuing reign of The Grand Moff, it is almost certain to happen to a Lady!Doctor.

My ideal scenario for Doctor who would be for the next companion to be an alien. Not a sexy alien, not a ‘girl who has been acted on in strange ways by time’, just a proper alien lad or lass with whom the Doctor can have an Epic Bromance and save planets. Donna has thusfar been the only NewWho companion to have any diversity of background, and that really only amounted to a few years of age (and look at how interesting she was!). I want a companion who brings a different perspective to traveling the stars, because the old ‘normal young London girl who longs for adventure’ routine is getting very, very tired.

/Rant.

I agree whole-heartedly. Personally, I almost wouldn’t want to see a TIme Lady in the hands of Steven Moffat…. let’s just save Helen Mirren for luck number 13. :)

ALSO YES COOL ALIEN COMPANION. I miss Donna and that sort of friend interaction. I want that.

Know what I think would be cool?

A strong, intelligent, empowered FEMALE 12th Doctor. We already know that time lords can regenerate into a different gender, and one would think that out of 13 possible bodies, at least one might be a different gender.

Along with this, I want a clever and brave male companion who is a positive representation of masculinity. By which I mean, I want a male character who is not emasculated by a woman’s intelligence or strength. I want a relationship that is based on a lasting friendship full of mutual respect and good humor.

Most of all, I want people online to not bitch and moan about how it’s disrespecting the tradition and mythos of Doctor Who to make the 12th Doctor a woman. I want people to to cut out the misogynist bullshit and understand that a female Doctor would not mean the end of the world - if anything, it would mean the opposite (remember the Doctor Donna?).

It’s most likely idealistic and silly and I don’t often get worked up about things like this, but it’s been on my mind while reading all the speculation articles about who’s taking over for Matt Smith. I love and appreciate all of the strong female characters that Doctor Who has put on TV in the past, but why not go one further? For me, Doctor Who has always been a show that’s about hope for a brighter future; about adventure; about pushing boundaries. Why shouldn’t it push boundaries in the real world, in a way that would have a lasting and beneficial effect on television as we know it?

…Also less Steven Moffat. That would be nice too.

tbh i was straight up cackling during the wedding scene when everyone was just looking at each other like “damn that frey is hot wtf”
